Background
On 19 February 2026, the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority (NBFSA) of Cambodia, in collaboration with the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), organized a workshop entitled “Regulatory Risk Validation and Policy Recommendations for Non-Bank Financial Sector.” The workshop was held at the Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1 hotel and was supported by technical assistance from AMRO. The event received high-level endorsement from key officials, including the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Secretary General of the NBFSA.

The workshop also featured Q&A sessions and group discussions around system resilience, user protection, innovation ecosystems, and governance mechanisms.
