Background
From 23 to 27 February 2026, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) hosted a training program for trainers focusing on the duties associated with personal data protection. The event was held at the Khmer Angkor Hotel and Spa in Siem Reap Province and organized in cooperation with the National University of Management, supported by the EU-German GATE project.
Scope of Application
The program targeted representatives from the MPTC’s Legal Department, Cambodia Telecommunication Regulator, academics, staff and students from the National University of Management, as well as EU-German GATE project delegates, totaling 30 participants. It is intended to build capacity among trainers who will further disseminate knowledge related to Cambodia’s Personal Data Protection law to other institutions.
