The Ministry of Tourism organized the 7th thematic discussion forum on “Digital Tourism Transformation: New Directions for Enhancing Competitiveness” as part of the 2025 tourism sector results review and the strategic outlook for 2026. 1. Definition and Scope of Digital Tourism Transformation: Digital transformation is defined as the process of modernizing the tourism sector by integrating digital technologies across all components of the tourism system, including governance, business models, markets, services, transportation, experiences, and destination management to achieve sustainability and resilience.
2. Presentation of the 2023–2030 Tourism Technology Roadmap: This roadmap highlights key technologies and development plans supporting the digital transformation of the sector.
3. Collaboration Outcomes: Results from inter-ministerial cooperation and partnerships with private sector stakeholders aimed at sectoral digital development were shared.
4. Electronic Commerce Systems: Updates on e-commerce service platforms developed through cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the inter-ministerial working group on e-commerce under the Ministry of Economy and Finance were presented.
5. Electronic Document Management System: Development of an electronic document approval and management system by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications was included.
6. Visit Cambodia Platform: The forum presented the website visitcambodia.com and the Visit Cambodia super app developed collaboratively between the Ministry of Tourism and PRAVINYA ESERVICE CO., LTD to enhance digital tourism services.
