Consultation on Draft National MSME Development Strategy 2026–2030
The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) held a consultation workshop on the draft National Strategy for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) 2026–2030. The session included inputs from the Accounting and Auditing Regulator (ACAR), which emphasized the importance of proper accounting records for MSMEs to access finance and capital markets. The Trust Regulator also participated, highlighting credit products under the Agricultural Value Chain Competitiveness and Safety Enhancement Project (ACSEP).

Ministry of Land Structure and Legal Profession Standards Under Review

SERC Suspends Derivatives Brokerage of AXIONTRADE
The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) suspended the derivatives brokerage business of AXIONTRADE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. effective February 4, 2026, following the company's request. The regulator has ordered the company to settle all outstanding cash balances with clients through the central counterparty, Phnom Penh Derivative Exchange PLC.

Environment Ministry Suspends Operations of Multiple Companies for Pollution
The Ministry of Environment took legal action against JIAGUO AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY in Kampong Thom for discharging untreated wastewater and operating without environmental permits. The Ministry ordered a temporary suspension of production and the construction of proper treatment systems. Separately, the Ministry suspended five rubber processing businesses in Tboung Khmum province for improper waste management and operating without environmental contracts.

Deportation of Foreign Nationals Involved in Online Scams
The General Department of Immigration deported 485 foreign nationals, including 319 Chinese nationals involved in online scams. The deportations are part of a crackdown on cybercrime, carried out in cooperation with relevant embassies.

Ministry of Land Registers Historic Site and Identifies Urban Residents
