Inspection of Ou Te Thipeti Water Storage Dam Construction in Mondulkiri Province

Background

On February 9, 2026, His Excellency Chan Sinath, Secretary of State representing Minister Thao Jeztha of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, led a delegation including officials from the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation and representatives of the World Bank to inspect the Ou Te Thipeti water storage dam in Mondulkiri Province.

The Ou Te Thipeti dam was inaugurated under the high patronage of Samdech Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia. Since its commissioning, the dam structure remains solid and operational for water storage purposes.

The inspection focused on assessing the dam’s potential to extract clean water resources to serve the water supply needs of Mondulkiri Province.
